Quality - Uniform Deposits
|
A great benefit of electroless nickel is the uniform thickness of this deposit. This is important when plating complex parts or parts with a deep hole or pocket that require coverage. Electroless nickel may have a thickness variation of 5% versus electrolytic deposits can easily have a variance of 300%. particularly with parts with complex shape. As a result the electroless nickel deposits can have a lower thickness requirement than a comparable electro-deposited nickel because of the uniformity of the deposit.
